Valparaiso Cerro Abajo 2017 - Tomas Slavik Winning run

In this video we can see up close, thanks to GoPro, the descent of Tomas Slavik at the recent Valparaiso Cerro Abajo 2017. The famed urban downhill taking place for the past fifteen years in the Chilean city was held this past February 19 and saw the victory of the Czech rider.

Tomas Slavik got the victory with a time of 2:48,480, ahead of Bernard Kerr by just over two seconds. Soon after, in order, three local athletes like Pedro Ferreira, Mauricio Acuna and Matias Nunez. "I'm excited. After going four editions of "Red Bull Valparaíso Cerro Abajo", I finally did it. It was a nice experience racing against these athletes in this beautiful location", Slavik's comment at the end of the race.

As always this race has given great emotions, with the 1.8 km long route that like every year is always very difficult to interpret. Only the best mountain bikers in the world can give their best in the narrow streets of Valparaiso, performing stunts worthy of being immortalized. The large crowd present at this wonderful event gives riders a great stage on which to perform to show the world what they are capable.

But a race so it doesn't need to be explained, words cannot make the most of the true essence of Valparaiso Cerro Abajo. So don't just have to enjoy the video in which we can closely follow very close the great Tomas Slavik. Get ready for a thrilling ride!
