Tutorial Patchwork - Blanket star

With the patchwork can be made many handmade items by recycling the various pieces of fabric that can be found in the house. In this video tutorial you will see step by step the construction of a covered star shaped in 3D.
First you take the tissue paper of the size of the pool you want to create, and, from there traced the guidelines (horizontal, vertical, and the two oblique) for positioning the cloth.

After you set your pattern, cut out a piece of cloth the size of 6.5 cm x 6.5 cm and you are going to place in the center and on it you place the triangles (previously created) of the same width, as shown in the video, in which subsequently you cucirete the outer edges of the base.
Eventually you will have created a square with inside eight tips.

Subsequently made a further eight triangles, that you place over the previous ones but always leaving a little margin away from the tips and overlapping. Blocked the whole with the pins and then sewing the ends of the base.
Always continue with this step, of which from time to time you will have to increase the amount of triangles to the desired length, by alternating the colors of the fabric as required to patchwork technique.
