Sebastian Vettel: First win in F1 - Monza 2008
The 2008 Italian Grand Prix is in the history for being the race in which a young Sebastian Vettel got his first Pole Position and his first victory in the Formula One world championship. In his second season at the wheel of Toro Rosso (formerly Minardi team that had become a junior team of the Red Bull Racing), the German had not achieved great results, but on the wet track of Monza the future champion was immediately at ease, gaining the Pole Position. The next day he led the race from the first to the last meter resisting all attempts to comeback made by Hamilton, Raikkonen and Massa. So at just 21 years and 73 days he became the youngest driver to get a victory in the Formula One World, records that previously belonged to Fernando Alonso. This success also allowed the small Faenza-based team, Toro Rosso, to overcome the major Red Bull in the constructors standings and maintain the advantage until the end of the championship. An incredible achievement that showed the world the talent of Vettel, hinting at the ability of him that in subsequent years would become world champion for four consecutive seasons.
