Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez vs Carlos Cuadras - Highlights

It was fought on Saturday night, September 10, 2016 one of the most anticipated meetings. At the Forum in Inglewood (California) went on stage the match between Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez and Carlos Cuadras, valid for the WBC superflyweight title.

The 29 year-old Nicaraguan Gonzales made history, winning the fourth title in the fourth weight class. "Chocolatito" was awarded the victory on points by unanimous decision, with the following scores: 115-113, 116-112 and 117-111.

Gonzalez was the author of a great fight, proving once again its great value. In the first three rounds, it was a strong feeling that Cuadras could finish the mat at any time. Gonzalez crossed the ring not only with the usual science, but also with a ferocity rarely had shown on previous occasions. His strokes were a continuous stream which intercepted his opponent despite his constant lateral movement.

There was no way to Cuadras, to escape that sort of avalanche. Several times, in the first three rounds, the Mexican has faltered, both of individual shots or dubbed either as a result of incessant work of demolition Gonzalez enacts short distance.
