Red Bull Rampage 2016: Brandon Semenuk's Winning Run

With a spectacular series of highly technical tricks in an almost perfect race, Brandon Semenuk won the 11th edition of the Red Bull Rampage. The race was held on Friday, October 14, 2016 in Virgin, Utah, where 21 freeriders in the world competed in the largest global event in this discipline.

The final of this edition have seen the athletes hurtle down from the mountain with their lines which combined speed, style, determination and skill to champion. Semenuk impressed early stage with his masterful stroke, which included a 360-degree rotation, a flat drop backflip and backflip one-footed which allowed him to earn the final score of 84.33.

On the podium at Red Bull Rampage 2016 together with the Canadian rose French Antoine Bizet and the American Carson Storch. Besides having impressed the judges present at Virgin, Semenuk also won the prize awarded by the public.

For the 25 year old Semenuk this is the second victory in this race, after that of 2008 when he was only 17 years old. Only he, Kyle Strait and Kurt Sorge at the time managed to win twice in the Red Bull Rampage, a milestone that makes them enter the elite of the freeride world.
