Paul George Team USA Injury
Paul George the Indiana Pacers star and leader suffered of a severe right open tibia-fibula injury.
The accident was caused by the impact with a backboard stanchion after try to contest a fast-break layup from James Harden. The time was stopped with 9:33 left to play, but coach Mike Krzyzewski decided to stop the scrimmage to pay respect to the Indiana Pacers small forward and his family.
This year Paul George stats are saying 21.7 points per game and also a great leadership who led his team to the conference finals. He will probably lose all, or a big part, of the next season. This will create new trade scenarios after the Pacers let Lance Stephenson go as a free agent. Another open question is about the relationship between the NBA and the FIBA. Is it correct to send all the superstars to the FIBA competitions, risk injuries like this and waste the money invested on the players?
