MotoGP Race Highlights: Motegi 2014
The 2014 Motegi Motogp race is famous to be the race in which Marc Marquez won his second world championship in a row on Honda, exactly in the circuit that Honda owns.
The race was won by Jorge Lorenzo on Yamaha, Marquez arrived second and the podium was completed by Valentino Rossi, that precisely in this circuit celebrated his eighth world championship in 2008.
On the starting grid Andrea Dovizioso on Ducati was in pole position, Rossi was second and at the start he immediately took the head of the race. Behind him, Lorenzo started his coming back, overtaking all the rivals until he took the lead and he flew to the victory.
In the last laps a thrilling duel between Rossi and Marquez defined the other position on the podium, with the Spaniard that finally overtook the italian biker gaining the second place, while the champion from Tavullia had to settle the third place.
