Shabby chic whose meaning in Italian is "elegant and slovenly", is an interior design style romantic and ethereal, whose purpose is to create a relaxing home environment.

The furniture looking old and faded are revisited and modernized, through the pastel tones more or less clear, but this style can also be applied in diy. The atmosphere is very relaxing, soft colors: white dominates but coexist pastel colors like pink, ivory, purple lavender, beige, light gray.

In the following video the YouTuber "MissLizHeart", shows in this tutorial, how to decorate in this style some household objects for the kitchen in a very simple and practical. Through these little tips you can recycle many items and realize new, as the lovely slate to write down your notes.

The signs of wear give a romantic air to furniture, but also a bit scruffy. But the overall effect is not the sloppy, but very well taken care of in the details.
