HIGHLIGHTS: Selby vs. Montiel - PBC on ESPN

It ended with a victory on points the first title defense by IBF featherweight champion Lee Selby. At the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Arizona, the Welshman beat an experienced opponent like Fernando Montiel with a unanimous decision. These are the cards of the judges: 119-109 118-110 e 116-112, all three in favor of Selby.
In his American debut Selby had to commit more than expected to beat the 36-year old Montiel, champion in three different weight classes. Despite this Selby has controlled the match, earning a clear victory on points but not as clear as it appears from the scorecards.
Montiel has proved a rival of great value and in the middle rounds of the match has embarrassed the younger opponent.
The same Selby said he was disappointed in his match despite the victory and said he was ready to redeem himself in his next match.
The following video contains the official highlights of the fight, entered in the series "Premier Boxing Champions" and broadcast on ESPN.
