Spectacular weekend weekend in Vallnord, Andorra. On Saturday July 1, the fourth leg of the UCI DH World Cup 2017 brought under the spotlight the most technical and challenging downhill thanks to the old and sketchy sketch drawn in the Vallnord bike park, giving us a race full of strokes and strong emotions, including some spectacular falls, fortunately devoid of consequences.
Troy Brosnan lowered the best day time, which was already unbeatable, with an impeccable run, clean and constantly attacking. Second position at 22 cents per second for Greg Minnaar, who retains leadership in overall. Danny Hart exalted the audience and mercifully went up on the third step of the podium.
In the women's field triumphed Myriam Nicole who beat english Thanée Seagrave and the young transalpine Marine Cabirou, former champion of the junior world. Well Rachel Atherton, fourth in return from injury.
The video here shows us, through a GoPro camera, the winning run of Troy Brosnan. Over four minutes of breathtaking footage where we can appreciate the beauty of the track and the excellence of the Australian mountain biker. We just have to get on board and enjoy this adrenaline first-person descent!
The UCI Downhill World Cup continues next weekend in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, where the fifth season will be held.
