The Finn got the time with super-soft tyres in the morning, before handing the W08 to Lewis Hamilton in the afternoon session. Runner up for Williams by Felipe Massa in 1:19.420 (ultra-soft, 63 laps completed), followed by the Ferrari of Kimi Raikkonen (Soft,53).
Fourth place for Max Verstappen (soft) who, with Red Bull, turned into 1:20.432 pausing the track just a few minutes from the end of the session and expose of the red banner for the recovery of the car, reach the pits with the tow truck.
