Efren Reyes Versus Nick Varner 1994 US Open Final Last Rack

In 1994, the US Open 9-Ball Championship Efren "The Magician" Reyes got his first major title in pool. The first foreign player ever to win this tournament in history. It was the start of his bright career in this sport. In more than 20 years of playing, Reyes won over 70 international tournaments. In these achievements includes 2-time World Cup Champion, 2-time World Pool League Champion, and a 14-time Derby City Classic champion. He won the first ever Color of Money in 1996 where he defeated the American pool player Earl "The Pearl" Strickland in the final.

Efren Reyes also known as "The Magician". His unbelievable shot in any game become the most awaited by the fans every time he play pool. In the Philippines, they called him as "Bata" that's mean "Kid". They gave that alias because there was another Efren playing pool older than him.

The Philippines pride, was born in province of Pampanga in August 26,1954. Married to Susan Reyes and they have three children.

Reyes was the captain of Team Asia for the first ever Kings Cup of Pool happened last November 19-21,2015. Unfortunately, his team lost against the best pool players from Europe and US (Team West).

Reyes is one of the best pool player of all time. One of the living legend in the sport of pool and billiards.
