David Lemieux vs. Curtis Stevens - Highlights

In the match event of the Turning Stone Casino, Verona, a battle full of excitement and a touch of drama. He won the Canadian former IBF middleweight champion David Lemieux (37-3, 33 KOs), who knocked Curtis Stevens (29-6, 21 KOs) in the third round. 

The duel was immediately explosive. Duelists have ignited immediately harsh exchanges that have aroused the admiration of the public.  Towards the end of the first round, however, Lemieux has hit the fighter of Brownsville, who has struggled to take the hit. Lemieux began the second round attacking scoring heavy blows above and below, forcing Stevens to a grim defense from which he tried to get out but with isolated shots and ineffective apart from a hook in the final round.

At 1.59 in the third assault Lemieux left starting a left high-powered hook that struck Stevens and put ko. The referee immediately declared the knockout and called the doctor because Stevens seemed inanimate. The local boxer then gave some signs of recovery but was taken to the locker room on a stretcher. 

The match was the battle that was expected, but eventually prevailed the power of the Canadian boxer. Stevens has instead earned a hard ko that hardly allow him to pursue his career at the highest levels.
