1965 Corvette (L79) vs 1970 Camaro Z28 (LT1) Drag Race

During the '60s and the '70s two of the most epic Muscle car ever that were a smash hit were the Chevrolet Corvette and the Chevrolet Camaro Z28. In this video you can see a re-edition of a drag race you could assist in the early seventies with probably the best and iconic cars Chevrolet made in its more than 100 years of activity.

A '65 maroon Corvette C2 L79 with a V8 5.4 litres small block engine with a power of 350 hp against a '70 gray (with black stripes) Camaro Z28 LT1 Special Performance Package equipped with a V8 5.7 litres and a power of 360 hp. On the straight, the cars warm their sports tyres to be ready when the drag race will start.

The Corvette is on the left, the Camaro is on the right, waiting for the green light. Both the cars make a great start and are side by side for every inch of the quarter mile: from the video camera point of view it's really hard to see which one is going to win and only the chrono and the scoreboard help the audience (and also us) to understand if the driver who'll celebrate is the Camaro's one or the Corvette's one.
